These pictures are from a field trip that F1 did way back in the fall. We went to the Cedar River Watershed Education Center to learn about the water cycle and where our drinking water comes from. The students represented Maple well; they were interested, respectful, and active participants in all of the activities. We had a great time and would like to give special thanks to our three fabulous chaperones: Chapel's dad, David's mom, and Mr. Horton!

Marionettes
Once again, our wonderful Ms. Nelson has led the students in another exciting project in Theater Arts. This time, they made marionettes and wrote and performed skits with them. They did a fantastic job!
Science Adventure Lab
Last week, F1 got to visit the Science Adventure Lab to conduct an experiment with three scientists from Children's Hospital. Students harvested their cheek cells, opened them, and isolated their DNA. If you look carefully at the last picture, you can see the DNA in Anthony's test tube. It was a fun and fascinating experience!
